Health and Safety Awareness- Overview
The Health and Safety Awareness course has been designed to ensure all staff are fully up to date with regard to the organisation’s and their own statutory responsibilities with regard to Health and Safety.
Most people would agree that, whatever risks they choose to take themselves, it is unacceptable to put other people at risk, particularly when this is done without their knowledge or consent.
Health and Safety Awareness is a 1/2 day course with a minimum classroom contact time of 3 hours.

- Employee Responsibilities
- Risk Assessment
- Planning and Control
- Fire Safety and Fire Extinguishers
- Accidents and near misses
- Falls from height
- Chemical Safety
- Display Screen Equipment
- Drink, Drugs, Lone Working and Violence
Assessment and Certification
Assessment is ongoing by the instructor and students successfully completing the session will be awarded the Certificate in Health and Safety Awareness. The certificate is valid for 1 year from the date of issue, after which the student will need to repeat the course to gain a new certificate.
A maximum of 12 students can be accomodated on this course at any one time.
We are able to deliver this course on your site, subject to a pre-course assessment of your premises, reducing your costs in respect of additional time out and travelling, or at a venue convenient to you.
