Healthcare Risk Assessment – Overview
The Healthcare Risk Assessment course is designed to ensure staff involved in the risk assessment process are fully up to date with regard to their organisation’s and their own statutory Health and Safety responsibilities. European health and safety legislation places a number of duties on organisations, managers and employees alike.
The Healthcare Risk Assessment course is a 1 day course with a minimum classroom contact time of 6 hours theory. It is an intense course designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills to conduct a thorough Healthcare Risk assessment in the workplace.
The Healthcare Risk Assessment syllabus includes:
- Understanding the importance of managing businesses safely
- Legal requirements associated with Health and Safety
- Recognising common hazards in the workplace
- Understanding the process of Healthcare Risk Assessment
- Understanding measures to ensure risks can be controlled
- Conducting a Healthcare Risk Assessment
Assessment and Certification
Assessment is ongoing by the instructor and learners must also successfully complete a case study during the course in order to be issued with a certificate of Healthcare Safety Risk Assessment Awareness valid for 1 year from the date of the course. After a year learners will need to repeat the course in order to receive an updated certificate.
A maximum of 12 students can be catered for at any one time on this course.
