Medical Emergencies and Resuscitation – Standards for Clinical Practice and Training for Dental Practitioners and Dental Care Professionals in General Dental Practice.
“There is a public expectation that Dental Practitioners and Dental care Professionals should be competent in managing common medical emergencies”.
Affordable First Aid Training Ltd have been supplying high quality training locally and nationally for a number of years and have specifically designed a course of Advanced First Aid instruction that covers the Dental Surgery First Aid Guidelines.
Make no mistake, this is Advanced First Aid covering the use of Automatic External Defibrillators (AED), Bag, Valve, Mask (BVM), Oropharyngeal (OP) Airways, drug therapy and a number of other procedures.
Normal First Aid courses just do not cover these subjects, nor do they take place in your surgery, a key part of the Guidelines. As an additional bonus, the 3 hours spent annually completing this training count towards your CPD credits.
Affordable First Aid Training will send a fully qualified IHCD Ambulance Technician and/or a Registered Nurse (RN) Instructor (both with recognised teaching qualifications in addition to clinical competence) to your surgery. You and your staff will receive 3 hours intensive Advanced First Aid instruction ensuring you comply fully with the Guidelines.
There is a heavy bias towards scenario training and practical implementation of the skills learned. Surgeries without AED / BVM etc already on site will receive impartial advice and assistance enabling the purchase of the right equipment either prior to or after completion of the course. “All clinical areas should have immediate access to an automated external defibrillator”
All important of course to those in business is the price, just how much is this going to cost? Affordable First Aid Training, keeping true to their name and company ethos, “First Aid for Everyone”, are marketing this Advanced First Aid for Dental Surgeries course at just £275 per session, (max 8 people per session). You can book the course up to 12 months in advance, at a time suitable for you, causing as little disruption to the surgery and patients as possible. Morning, Afternoon and Evening sessions are all available, as are weekends.
